Oh man, if you're a nineties baby or love the era then this will take you back real quick. The 90s was such an amazing decade. The 90s experience is pure nostalgia. It reminds you of memories you thought you forgot.
Right in the beginning they had us do a little quiz/trivia show which was so fun but really made me realize I did not know my 90s video games at all lol
I do plan to go back again with my little one to show her how old I am. I do wish the gift shop at the end had more items to choose from. The location of the 90s Experience wasn't bad. It was nicely located near restaurants and bars. Not much shopping near by but definitely had places to eat and drink before or afterwards. read less

My bestie and I took a visit and we had the best time. We laughed, reminisced , and vibed the whole time. As soon as we entered the staff was so friendly and nice they also all told me happy birthday which I appreciated. They had games going for everyone to enjoy. The music was great, the dj was jamming and so were we. They provided an awesome tripod so our pictures would turn out perfect. Everyone was hyping each other up. The rooms for the pictures are so aesthetically on point. The details in each photo opportunity are so amazing. The posters came straight from my childhood. The pink room with the bed was my favorite but the light Up part is beautiful too. Literally the entire experience was PERFECT. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday celebration. Thank you all at Experience the 90s and huge shout out to Nick for ensuring we had a great time. I highly recommend everyone check this out. read less

The whole experience is a series of themed rooms with different shit 90s kids know a love. Examples: a space jam room, a care bear room, a titanic room, a Mario kart room, an old school 90s bedroom.
I also gotta say the attention to detail was on point. There was even a half used bath and body works lotion in one room! My friend and I had a good time snapping weird nostalgic pictures and cracking up at our weird childhoods.
One more thing - the Polaroid camera rental option was such a fun nice touch! I hadn't used one of those in years and the pics were hilarious read less

I'm glad to see they were able to thrive and stay open and then REOPEN!
I went this past weekend and was super hyped to visit this place in Jack London Square because the setup was really great for IG photos and content creation, but the mix was also amazing from your favorite hits like Nsync, Britney Spears, Too $hort, TLC, Destiny's Child, En Vogue, Spice Girls, Dre - hit after hit! I started singing and dancing and felt like literally the only person vibing haha!
If you want to live your 90s era again, then this is definitely a place for you!
Take awesome photos, make creative TikTok or reels, go go go!
I will also say out of all the IG pop ups that came to the bay, this one was my favorite and I've been to about 5 others.
Oh I also cracked the code for a good super mario boomerang, lmao go down on 3, not UP on three.

wow this was my first ever yelp elite event and it was truly such a... read morewow this was my first ever yelp elite event and it was truly such a hit! i ended up taking my friend and we both had a blast like it was genuinely so much fun! being at this pop up was nostaglic and brought back so many childhood memories. the different background/area for photos are so well thought out and had so many attention to details easter eggs- definitely a great spot for family outing/dates/friends outing -- nearby area has great food, outdoor area for chillin/picnic, ice cream, movie theater and more.
10/10 would recommend checking this place out at least once. the staff here are super sweet and nice too.
tip:
there's no bathroom there so your only nearby option would be the community bathroom that's towards the right of the building all the way at the end of the walkway near the staircase or the restaurants nearby.
id suggest bring a tripod to take photos of yourself/friends -- they do have some readily available to borrow if they are able to hold onto your ID but i ended up bringing my own and it was so useful!
